The Apple Watch is credited with saving another life after it alerted authorities when a man fell off his e-bike and injured his head.

At 1:30 a.m. on January 22, Hermosa Beach police received an automated emergency call that an Apple Watch owner had taken a hard fall. He then relayed his location information, directing emergency services to the scene.

When officers arrived, they found a man lying on the street next to his e-bike, bleeding profusely from his head, according to LA fox.

The man was treated at the scene by officers and then transported to a local hospital for further medical treatment. He was finally released a few days later.

According to the report, social media claimed the fall was an attack or some crime. Local police say it was a solo accident.

On Monday, it was reported that emergency services rescued an unconscious man in Morrow, Georgia after his Apple Watch detected a fall and alerted local authorities.
