iPhone 14 Pro leaks suggest Apple will change the design with the next device

APPLE fans can now get a rough idea of what to expect from the new iPhone 14 Pro months before its supposed release.

That’s because a series of details allegedly revealing key design changes have been leaked to Forbes this week.

According to render artist Ian Zelbo, Apple is preparing to make some major updates to the new device, including giving it more of a “curved edge” over the current iPhone 13 Pro models.

“[There] is a quirk with the design of the iPhone 13 Pro,” he told the outlet.

“The radius of the corners of the phone does not match the radius of the camera bump (obviously a strange decision for a company like Apple, which is known for its cohesion).

“Apple has rounded the corners of the iPhone 14 Pro considerably, finally remedying the odd look of the iPhone 13 Pro.”

He also revealed that in addition to changes to the overall model, the developers also plan to make the corners of the screen more curved.

The artist explained that the modification would be made to accommodate the model’s oversized camera, otherwise the device would look “uneven”.

Zebo reportedly made the discovery after studying leaked iPhone 14 schematics of some of the new design features.

It comes after rumors started circulating that Apple is finally removing the “notch” at the top of the iPhone, offering a full-screen front for the first time.

The design would include a pill-shaped hole in the front of the device for a selfie camera.

Well-respected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF Securities has suggested we’ll see a notchless iPhone 14.

And longtime Apple and Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman said the same thing.

Ming-chi Kuo also said that the high-end iPhones in the 2022 lineup will use a 48-megapixel sensor for the main camera.

According to Mac RumorsKuo believes this will enable impressive 8K video capture.

The analyst also thinks that the notch on the front screen of iPhones will get smaller and by 2023 it may be gone.

The selfie camera, necessary for Face ID, can be hidden under the screen.

Another of Kuo’s theories is that the screen size options in the iPhone lineup will decrease by 2022.

We might not see an iPhone Mini offering like we have in previous years.

Apple isn’t believed to be impressed with how well the Mini lineup has sold, but may still include a version in its 2021 iPhone lineup.

The 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch screen sizes are believed to be here to stay for the foreseeable future.

Expect an iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Kuo has also previously suggested that we might see under-display fingerprint scanners in future iPhones as well.

What we know for sure is that the new model will almost certainly support 5G.

And we’ll likely get a new Apple-built A-series chip, delivering a performance boost, as with all previous iPhone generations.
