Manchester, England, April 9 (Reuters) – Manchester City British forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been apologized after he appeared on a mobile phone to knock out the supporter following his side’s 1-0 defeat at Everton on Saturday.

Footage has sprung on Ronaldo on social media as he turned his hand to the ground as he walked around the pitch and proceeded to the tunnel in Goodison Park. Eyewitnesses said the 37-year-old knocked on the phone from their hands and smashed them to the ground.

Ronaldo took to Instagram to apologize for the incident.

“It’s never easy to find someone to look back on in difficult situations,” said Ronaldo. “We will always be respectfully and patiently and set the example for all those who love the beautiful game.

“I’m happy to apologize for my outburst and, if possible, would like to invite a supporter to watch a game at Old Trafford as a sign of play and play.”

The club told Reuters they inspect the incident.

The defeat left United standing seventh in the Top League and missing expectations from last season’s Champions League account left six points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
